Statutory Testing 2021-22
Summer Term is the term for statutory testing in year 1, year 2, year 4 and year 6. The assessments must be completed within a certain time period in school. Meetings will take place for Key Stage 2 SATS and Key Stage 1 SATs to inform parents about these.
Year 1 will take a Phonics Screening check, this will decide if the children have met the expected standard in decoding.
This is a short assessment which is carried out by the teacher and pupil on a one to one basis. Children decode and read a number of words to do this. This will take place during the on the week beginning 12th June 2023
Year 2 will take part in a series of statutory tests including numeracy, and reading. These can be done any time during the month of May at the teachers discretion.
Year 4 will take part in a Multiplication Tables check, this will begin on 5th June and should be completed within a 2 week period.
Year 6 have more formal testing in the month of May. The timetable is as follows.
